Thermal cutting and fire polishing glass tubing is a great economical way to cut glass starting with a 7mm inside diameter and going up to as large as 600mm. Thermal cut glass tubes are commonly used as a blank for another process of glass working like fire polishing, grinding, or forming.
The face of the cut tube is fire polished to remove all sharp edges inside and out. This is also the best option for reducing or eliminating edge chips or damage.
